Leadership and Volunteer Opportunities
We have some specific roles available in our communities. Get in touch if you’d like to know more.
At Bellyful, we take the safety and wellbeing of our volunteers and the whānau we support seriously. All volunteers go through a simple screening process, including reference checks. For some roles, we may also ask you to provide a criminal record check.
Delivery Drivers – Central Auckland
We’re seeing increased demand for Bellyful’s support in Central Auckland and urgently need Delivery Volunteers to help get our free, frozen meals to whānau with babies and young children.
We’re especially looking for volunteers who live in or near:
St Heliers, Glendowie, Ōrākei, Kohimarama, Glen Innes, and Blockhouse Bay.
You’ll be contacted when a delivery is needed in your area. You then arrange a time with the whānau, collect the meals, and drop them off with a friendly smile. It’s a flexible, feel-good role that fits around your life – it all makes a difference.
If you’re keen to help, fill out the form below or contact [email protected].
Cookathon Coordinator – Bellyful Taupō
Do you love bringing people together and making things happen?
We’re looking for a Cookathon Coordinator to organise our local cooking sessions each month where volunteers prepare meals for Taupō families with new babies and young children.
If you’re organised, friendly and enjoy teamwork (and maybe the smell of something simmering!), this is the perfect role for you.
Various Roles – Bellyful New Plymouth
Our wonderful Bellyful New Plymouth team is looking for a few more helping hands to keep the pots bubbling and the meals flowing!
We’re currently looking for:
Cookathon 2IC – to support our Cookathon Coordinator in keeping things running smoothly during our cook sessions.
Fundraising Coordinator – to plan fun local fundraisers and help connect our branch with the community and supporters.
Cookathon and Delivery Volunteers – to help prepare or deliver meals to local families.
If you’ve got a few hours to spare and a big heart for your community, we’d love to have you join us.
Various Roles – Bellyful Hawke’s Bay
Our Bellyful Hawke’s Bay branch is busy and growing and we need to expand our volunteer team. We have some roles we would love to fill:
- Fundraising Coordinator
- Co-Cookathon Coordinator
If you are interested email Aliesha Gordon. Find out more about some of our volunteer roles here.
Cookathon Coordinator – Bellyful Porirua
Bellyful Porirua would love someone to help plan and run our Cookathons. You do not need to be a Masterchef, just well-organised with a bit of time to spare each month.
Delivery Volunteers – Bellyful Porirua
Delivery volunteers are the face of Bellyful. You get to collect and deliver our frozen meals to the whānau who need them. All you need is a vehicle (or even a bike would work), a driver’s licence, the ability to find your way around your community – and of course a friendly face!
The time commitment for a delivery volunteer is entirely up to you and what you can give.
Cookathon Volunteers – Bellyful Wellington North
Love to cook? We’d love a few more volunteers to join our Cookathons. We’re fun, friendly and welcoming! Just fill out the new volunteer form to get the ball rolling.
Cookathon Coordinator and general volunteers – Bellyful Geraldine
Bellyful Geraldine has a vacancy for a Cookathon Coordinator and some general volunteers to cook and deliver meals.
The Cookathon Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and overseeing the cooking events, following clear, concise recipes. All the meals are standard family staples and easy to cook.
Interested? Email our Co-Branch Coordinator Lynley Macleod on [email protected]
Delivery Volunteers – Bellyful Dunedin
We’d love some more delivery volunteers to help our branch.
Working with our Recipient Coordinator, you get to collect and deliver our frozen meals to the whānau who need them. All you need is a vehicle (or even a bike would work), a driver’s licence, the ability to find your way around your community – and of course a friendly face!
The time commitment for a delivery volunteer is entirely up to you and what you can give.
Interested? Email our Branch Coordinator.
How do I know if being a Branch Coordinator is for me?
Do you like organising, making things hum, or are you a whiz at managing projects and people stuff?
Our Branch Coordinators are people who:
- Love supporting and encouraging awesome volunteers
- Enjoy making a real difference in your local community
- Prefer to be part of an established charity that is well organised, known and trusted
- Have some time to give others
Many of our Branch Coordinators work full or part time, some are retired or semi-retired, others are parents at home looking for a way to utilise their skills or develop new skills. The role involves recruiting, training and managing volunteers within your branch and ensuring all aspects of the branch are running smoothly. Each Bellyful branch has a core team of awesome volunteers, including people in key roles such as Cookathon and Delivery Coordinators.
Our Branch Coordinators work from home at times that suit their work and whānau commitments.
You don’t need to have been involved with Bellyful before – we give you great support. You’ll also get plenty of back-up from the fabulous branch volunteers, Bellyful NZ management and other Bellyful branches.
