We are unable to cook meals in Auckland while the region is in Alert Level 3.
We are prioritising deliveries to whānau in the most need, but some of our branches have run out of meals and the others are very low in stock. We may not be able to support you with meals until our branches are able to cook again.
Please note Bellyful is a service for whānau with babies or young children, who lack other support. If you do not meet this criteria, we can’t provide you with meals. See our Other Support page for links to groups that may be able to help you.
With Auckland in Alert Level 3, we are carrying out careful non-contact deliveries. However, we have limited meals in stock and can’t cook again until the region is in Level 2. With this in mind, we will be prioritising referrals from those in the most challenging circumstances, who need our meals the most.
I joined Bellyful Franklin in 2014 as a way to meet people in the community. It has led me on a journey that I didn’t expect.
The idea of providing free meals to help new mums and families who are struggling really resonated. Having a baby is hard. Even if you have great support structures there are always days when everything turns to custard. The last thing you can think of is “what’s for dinner?” The comfort of having a meal in the freezer, prepared by someone locally is really powerful. It’s such a simple thing, but this simple act of kindness is what I love about Bellyful.
Every Bellyful branch operates locally in their community. We fundraise and support families’ right here. Our team is drawn from our community. Money raised in Franklin is used to support Franklin families. I’m really proud of that. I love being a part of the Franklin team, they are an amazing group of volunteers who give and give and give.
If you or someone you know could do with some Bellyful meals, then we encourage you to share some Bellyful love – head to www.bellyful.org.nz and complete a referral form ♥
