Victoria Kemp

Branch Coordinator

Kia ora, I am Victoria Kemp originally from England and a proud Mum to two kiwis. When I first heard about Bellyful it struck a chord with me because I really understand how the provision of something as simple as dinner can make a big difference for Mums with a new baby.

I remember crying while trying to make dinner with my daughter (crying) in a front pack jigging up and down trying to calm her down. In hindsight dinner could have waited and the world would not have ended but I just felt I should have been able to cope; I mean what else did I do all day apart from understand and care for this beautiful little bundle?

With the birth of my son my Mum flew over and the support she offered was incredible, dinner was not something I had to worry about. The difference was amazing.

Bellyful offers Mum and family a bit of relief when things don’t go to plan, easing the stress for Mum has a positive effect on all the family.

The community support for Bellyful Huntly has been fantastic and we have some wonderful volunteers that work very hard fundraising, cooking and delivering meals. I have been Branch Coordinator since the branch first opened in 2013.
