Bellyful Tauranga

Bellyful Tauranga started in 2012 and has 30 wonderful volunteers. We deliver from Katikati to Te Puke, and all of Tauranga’s surrounding suburbs.

Important note: We currently have limited stock and are only delivering meals in urgent cases. Please remain patient until our volunteers restock our meal supply.

I’ve been with Bellyful Tauranga since 2016. My husband and I moved back to Tauranga when my daughter was 9 months old and I felt it was the perfect time to look into doing something for myself that I could enjoy outside of being a mother. I loved the practical nature of Bellyful and felt as a new mother that Bellyful provided a great service and support in a time of change that a new baby brings.

I’ve been in various roles in the branch, having started off attending the cookathons and soon after taking over the Recipient Coordinator role which I was in for three years. I am excited to be in the co-branch coordinator role with Nikki. Our Tauranga branch is one of the busiest branches around New Zealand and I would love to see our branch grow even more and for a greater number of Tauranga families to benefit from a Bellyful delivery.

Outside of Bellyful, I juggle my two children as well as working as a mortgage adviser. I also love cooking, drinking coffee and have recently taken up golf.

Nikki Reyneke

Co-Branch Coordinator

I have been with Bellyful Tauranga since mid-2019 – I moved to Tauranga late 2017 with my husband and two young children for a lifestyle change. As we had no friends or family living locally, I wanted to connect and meet new people so I was very keen to volunteer, which also allowed me quality time with my young family. I then discovered Bellyful and as I read about their service – I knew instantly that I had to get involved.

The concept of Bellyful really spoke to me – I struggled after having my eldest daughter and then had no idea Bellyful existed, I sure wish I did! I’m so glad I can play a small part in helping new and existing mothers in those early sometimes trialling weeks and months.

I have had an assortment of roles within our Tauranga branch – from starting with promoting our annual movie fundraiser, to meeting with and reference checking new volunteers, plus assisting where I could with our monthly Cookathons. I have also been the branch’s Recipient Coordinator and managing the Bellyful Tauranga Facebook page.

My two young children keep me busy when I’m not organising delivery drivers or Facebook posts – I love spending time at the beach (one of the main attractions to move down to the beautiful Bay!), and you should know I have one heck of a sweet tooth (ask me for my crunch slice recipe – it’s a favourite!).
