Sheena is an accomplished and driven not-for-profit leader, with nearly 20 years of experience in strategy, fundraising, communications, marketing, and community engagement.

From launching a service to meet the needs of vulnerable older people to capital projects such as building a new hospice day centre, Sheena has been instrumental in providing leadership and developing the tools required to deliver.
Throughout her career, Sheena has adopted an innovative and team-based approach. She thrives on working with people to ensure obstacles are overcome and goals are achieved. All these efforts have culminated in tangible results which directly benefit the community she serves.
Sheena says it’s a real privilege to be joining the Bellyful Team and she looks forward to connecting with our volunteers and supporters across the motu.
“There is so much good in Bellyful’s mahi. People from all over the country only have good things to say about the organisation – and within my own community here in Te Matau ā Māui Hawke’s Bay, I know several people who have directly benefited from the service. Each person has a story to share – every parent remembers how they felt at that exact moment they knew dinner was on its way for the next few nights. And that feeling – full of warmth and gratitude – stays with them for years afterwards.”
As a mum of three young children, Sheena knows firsthand how incredible it is to have meals delivered to your door. “Not only do the meals give you practical help when you need it the most, but it also signals that there’s a community around you that cares. And when you’re rundown, tired and life just seems hard, that’s such an important message to receive.”
“Filling bellies all over Aotearoa is only possible because of the thousands of volunteers, staff and funders who have gifted their time and support throughout the years. A huge thanks to each of you – what a legacy you’re leaving in the hearts of whānau nationwide.”
