Bellyful Christchurch

Kia ora, I’m Kanna. I started volunteering for Bellyful after moving to Christchurch with my partner in 2025. What drew me to Bellyful was how simple its premise is, yet what a difference it can make for families going through a tough time. After attending my first Cookathon, I was really moved by the time, energy, and aroha our volunteers pour into every single meal. Now stepping into the Branch Coordinator role, I’m excited to help set Bellyful Christchurch up for sustainable, long-term growth so we can reach and support even more families who need us. Beyond Bellyful, I work as a Marketing Manager in the tech industry. Chances are you’ll find me cycling around the city I now call home, catching a live music or theatre show, or bargain-hunting at the op shop.

Kia ora, I’m Kana. I started volunteering with Bellyful in January 2025 after someone told me the best thing you can give a new parent is a meal. That idea stayed with me, and the warmth I found from the very first Cookathon made it easy to keep coming back. Stepping into the Branch Coordinator role, I’m focused on growing our profile and reach through fundraising, social media, and partnership development, so we can support even more families across the city. Outside Bellyful, I run a consulting firm helping women-owned businesses grow through PR and digital marketing. My passion is inspired by watching my own mum run a business. For fun, I like to weightlift, tramp, or play volleyball, and recently, giving embroidery and cross-stitch a go.
