But receiving a $5,000 donation from InterMed was really special. We were nominated by their wonderful team member Laura, through the company's Giving Back Initiative, after she received Bellyful meals herself and experienced first-hand the difference they can make.

Thank you, Laura, for nominating us, and thank you to everyone at InterMed for choosing Bellyful. It was such a pleasure to meet your team, share a little about our work and enjoy morning tea together.
We're delighted to be the winner of the Tier 3 Ser We're delighted to be the winner of the Tier 3 Service Performance Reporting category at the 2026 New Zealand For Purpose Reporting Awards. 🎉

These awards are run by @charteredaccountantsanz and recognise organisations that clearly and transparently show the difference they make.

Our annual report tells the story of what happens when communities come together to support whānau through tough times. We're honoured to see that story recognised.

To all our volunteers, our communities and our supporters: thank you for making this possible.

This National Volunteer Week, we're celebrating ou This National Volunteer Week, we're celebrating our Enduring Heart Award recipients – volunteers who have reached 5, 10 and even 15 years with Bellyful.

You know what gets us about all those years of volunteering?

Thinking about the whānau.

The babies whose families received Bellyful meals over those years – many of them are at high school now.

These volunteers have been part of the village around countless families during some of their toughest days. That's an extraordinary impact to have on a community.

A special congratulations to our seven 15-year Enduring Heart Award recipients for 2026:

🩷 Jacqui Jago, Wellington West
🩷 Jocelyn McKenzie, Porirua
🩷 Rachel Smith, Wellington West
🩷 Rachel Neale, Wellington West
🩷 Natalie Snaddon, Wellington West
🩷 Kate Fitzgerald, Wellington West
🩷 Pippa Wetzell, Bellyful NZ Ambassador

Alongside them, 45 volunteers are celebrating 10 years of service and 58 are celebrating 5 years.

We can't begin to count the meals, deliveries, phone calls, fundraisers and love those years represent. But we can say a huge thank you to these amazing volunteers, who we celebrated at our Heart Awards Dinner in Christchurch and who are also being celebrated by their branches around the motu. 🩷

It’s been hugs galore across the country as we've It’s been hugs galore across the country as we've celebrated our 2026 Shining Heart Award recipients.

Pretty fitting, really, considering one recipient was described in her nomination as "a walking, warm pink hug" (we're looking at you, Tracy Cox 🩷).

Other citations we love sum up our volunteers so beautifully:
"The quiet force behind so much of Bellyful."
"The glue that holds our branch together."
"The person everyone knows they can count on."

To all 89 of our Shining Heart Award recipients for 2026, those who received them at our Heart Awards Dinner in Christchurch and those who are receiving them at branch celebrations across the motu, thank you.

Thank you for making Bellyful the warm, welcoming and magical place it is. And for all the hugs!
